Silhouette In Desert

Trauma-informed expressive arts therapy for individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, and alone.
In-person in Berkeley and virtually across California.

You’re going through the motions—working so hard you have little energy left for what gives your life meaning.

Connection feels exhausting. Self-doubt, social anxiety, and people-pleasing make even reaching out feel like too much. Most days, you’re just coping—through screens, substances, or whatever helps you get by.

The weight of it all—your past, the pandemic, and political stress—has left your nervous system overwhelmed.

You feel stuck.

The things that once brought you joy—creativity, connection, community—feel out of reach.

You don’t have to stay stuck

I can help you slow down, reconnect and build a life that actually feels like yours. I am Rosina Roibal, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), based in Berkeley, CA.

I can help you gently untangle from what is keeping you stuck through:

  • Creating a sense of safety through our relationship and practicing tools to regulate the nervous system

  • Creativity and expressive arts

  • Somatics/body wisdom

  • Mindfulness and radical acceptance

  • Exploring thoughts and behaviors, identifying internalized beliefs that aren't serving you

  • Understanding the roots of your challenges

  • Healing "parts" or versions of yourself, such as your inner wounded child

  • Motivating you to change

  • Collaborating on strategies

In therapy jargon: My approach is client-centered, directive, strength-based, attachment-based, trauma-informed, systemic, experiential, solution-focused, and psychodynamic. I use narrative therapy, mindfulness, somatics, expressive arts, parts work, EMDR, CBT, and liberation psychology.
I am client-centered, therapist-led. And, I lead with love.

Through our work together, you could experience:

  • Greater motivation, creativity, and aliveness

  • Momentum with your creative practice and a sense of purpose

  • A calmer nervous system and deeper self-connection

  • Increased self-acceptance and self-love

  • A stronger sense of agency and empowerment

  • Healthier, more nourishing relationships

  • A sense of belonging and community

  • The freedom to take up space and be yourself

You deserve a life where your sensitivity is honored, your creativity flows, and you are met with care—by others and by yourself.
