Child Therapy for ages 6-12
Everyone knows parenting is hard — but it takes a parent or caregiver to truly know how hard it can be. I understand.
And you don’t have to do it alone. It takes a village.
I work with children ages 6–12 and collaborate closely with parents and caregivers, partnering as a team to support your child’s emotional growth and overall well-being. When we work together, you are not on the sidelines — you are an essential part of the process.
Challenges I Support
I help children navigate:
-
Anxiety and excessive worry
-
Stress and overwhelm
-
Emotional dysregulation and “big feelings”
-
Major life transitions
-
Grief and loss
-
Trauma
-
Social struggles and friendship challenges
-
Self-esteem and confidence concerns
-
And, more...

My Approach
I use play therapy and expressive arts therapy when working with children.
A child’s inner world and primary language is play. Through play, children process new experiences, make sense of their emotions, and communicate what they may not yet have words for. Play creates a safe and natural way for children to express themselves.
Expressive arts offer additional gentle and creative pathways for children to explore their thoughts and feelings in a developmentally appropriate and engaging way.
Together, these approaches help children:
-
Build emotional awareness
-
Develop healthy coping skills
-
Strengthen problem-solving abilities
-
Increase confidence
-
Feel more secure and understood
Working Together as a Team
Parent involvement is an important part of the process. I partner with caregivers through regular check-ins, support, and guidance so you feel equipped to reinforce growth at home.
You know your child best. My role is to support both of you.
