Services

I specialize in individual therapy for overwhelmed parents. I also provide other services as well...

Individual Therapy

I provide individual therapy for adults. Sessions are 50 minutes-long and occur weekly, in-person in Berkeley or virtually.

I also provide individual therapy for children & teens, and I incorporate parent coaching. I recommend in-person therapy for children & teens, but sometimes virtual therapy can work or a hybrid of virtual and in-person.

Relationship Therapy

Lover's Shadow

I conduct relationship therapy of all types, including couples, LGBTQI, spouses, partners, co-parents, friends, co-workers, pods, polycules, CNM (Consensual Non-Monogomy), kinky, etc. With relationship therapy, I am more directive than with individuals, and I have more of a facilitative role. I help deepen connection, improve communication, navigate conflict, and interrupt unhealthy cycles. I conduct sessions virtually (across California) and/or in an office in Berkeley. Sessions are 60 minutes-long.

Family Therapy

Gay Family

I conduct family therapy between people of all ages, related by blood or not, including chosen family.  Sometimes family therapy is between two people (dyads) or more. It might occur between parents/caregivers and their children, siblings, extended family, etc. I use a directive approach with strong, but neutral and compassionate facilitation. I often help families repair relational and emotional wounds, deepen connection, improve communication, navigate conflict, and have healthy and loving boundaries. I conduct sessions virtually (across California) and/or in-person in an office in Berkeley. Sessions are 60 minutes-long.

Consultation & Supervision
I provide contracted supervision to AMFTs (Associate Marriage and Family Therapists), both group and individual. I am approved as a supervisor by the BBS (Board of Behavioral Sciences). I also provide consultation to therapists and other providers.

As a therapist, I utilize a combination of therapeutic approaches and theories, including expressive arts therapy, narrative therapy, somatics, mindfulness, strengths-based, psychodynamic, humanistic, play, liberation psychology, systems theory, the recovery model, trauma-focused CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and attachment-based theories.

Contact me here to inquire about contracted supervision or consultation.
